Partners

The SAFEMED project is an initiative of the European Commission developed by the Euro-Mediterranean Transport Forum intended for the Mediterranean partners as defined in the 1995 Barcelona Conference. The ten beneficiaries of the SAFEMED Project are the following:

• Algeria,
• Egypt,
• Israel,
• Jordan,
• Lebanon,
• Morocco,
• the Palestinian Authority,
• Syria,
• Tunisia, and
• Turkey

In April 2010, through additional Instrument of Pre-Accession funds, some Safemed II Project Tasks have also been extended to four Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) South East European States, namely, Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia and Montenegro
